The Jones Library and Mead Art Museum will host author Rachel C. Katz for a program on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Katz will discuss her book Rise Up!: Powerful Protests in American History, which introduces young readers (ages 6-11) to 25 pivotal protests. Following the presentation, children can participate in a hands-on protest sign-making workshop. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Attendees may also explore the exhibit Kwame Brathwaite: Revolutionary Movements.
