The Jones Library and Mead Art Museum host award-winning graphic novelist Jonathan Todd for a hands-on comics workshop on Thursday, May 8, 2025, 4:00–5:00 PM at the Mead Art Museum (41 Quadrangle Dr, Amherst). Inspired by Todd’s 2024 graphic novel Timid!, kids ages 9–12 will:
- Create biographical comics
- Explore the Re/Presenting exhibit
- Meet the author of this semi-autobiographical story about friendship and self-expression

Jonathan Todd is the creator of Timid!, a middle-grade graphic novel about navigating adolescence. A former teacher and cofounder of Boston Kids Comics Fest, Todd’s work has appeared in the Boston Globe and other major papers. He lives near Boston with his family and a lemon beagle named Cariño.
