Engineering Hub for Kids Ages 6-12 at South Hadley Library

Five Hands-On STEM Challenges – Thursdays, July 2-28, 3:30-5:00 PM

South Hadley Public Library (2 Canal Street) hosts Engineering Hub, a free hands-on program for ages 6-12 designed by SHHS student Rehan. No engineering experience required. Sessions are Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM in the Story/Craft Room.

Schedule of Challenges

  • July 2, 2026: Straw Towers (Stability, Center of Gravity)
  • July 9: Popsicle Stick Bridges (Compression, Tension, Trusses)
  • July 16: Egg Drop Challenge (Impulse, Momentum)
  • July 23: Boats (Buoyancy, Density)
  • July 28: Catapults (Kinetic & Potential Energy, Projectile Motion)

Registration is required. Sign up online (one form per child).
