The Hitchcock Center for the Environment offers Little Bear Nature Walks for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Led by a preschool educator, each 75-minute walk includes investigation of plants and animals, exploration of natural materials, and a trail-side storytime. A themed backpack with simple tools is provided. Spring walks are scheduled from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at various locations. Tiered pricing is $11-$15. Upcoming walks:

- Monday, April 6: Robins at Groff Park
- Thursday, April 16: Salamanders at Lawrence Swamp
- Wednesday, April 29: Turtles at Katherine Cole Conservation Area
- Saturday, May 2: Mushrooms at Hitchcock Center trails
