New Animal-Focused 4-H Club for Ages 5-18
LJM 4-H Club, a new animal-focused cooperative extension based in Belchertown, will hold an information meeting on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Jessica’s Boundless Playground, 59 State Street, Belchertown. Club Leader Jen will speak about club goals, organization, and details at 5:30 PM. Registration and information packets will be available throughout the event.
Focus on Sheep, Llama, Equine & Community Collaboration
The club focuses on sheep, llama, and equine, with access to small and exotic animals. Activities include animal husbandry, wool crafts, soil improvement through paddock management, and training animals for farm and community help. The club will also collaborate with the Seek and Discover 4-H garden club. Membership is open to all, not just Belchertown residents, for ages 5-18.
