Pelham Library Summer Reading Program 2026

Registration Open Now – Free Programs for Kids with Snacks & Playground Time

The Pelham Library Summer Reading Program, “Plant a Seed, Read,” runs Wednesdays from July 1 through August 5, 2026. Registration opens June 17. Programs are preceded by open playground time and snacks at 5:00 PM thanks to CES. Schedule:

  • July 1, 6:00 PM: Make a Seed Bomb – Learn about native wildflowers with Kestrel Land Trust and make a seed bomb.
  • July 8, 6:00 PM: Breezy Seeds Engineering Challenge – Examine seeds, create a seed pod, test how far it flies, and visit a box turtle.
  • July 15, 6:00 PM: Live Animals with The Reptile Nook – Meet snakes, lizards, spiders, and more.
  • July 22, 6:00 PM: Family Concert with Wendy & Anna Plummer – Sing favorites, enjoy a pretend bonfire and indoor s’mores.
  • July 29, 6:00 PM: Make a Pounded Flower Book Bag – Decorate a book bag with real flowers and leaves.
  • August 5, 6:00 PM: Party Time! – Prizes, games, and treats.
