The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum invites K-12 educators to register for Teaching Local History: Diverse Stories, a week-long teacher’s institute from July 7–11, 2025, at 130 River Dr, Hadley, MA. This program explores the rich and diverse history of the Connecticut River Valley through primary sources, expert presentations, and hands-on activities.
Highlights:
- Access to the Museum’s collections and local historical archives.
- Learn about enslavement, land stewardship, gender, and Revolutionary War history.
- Develop classroom materials and apply for implementation grants.
