About the program:
Using unserved food recovered from Franklin DC, the FRN addresses food insecurity while reducing campus food waste. The program, revived post-COVID, offers allergy-friendly, vegan, and vegetarian options and relies on a dedicated team of volunteers.
The FRN is part of broader efforts to combat food insecurity, including partnerships with local organizations like the Amherst Survival Center and initiatives to expand services, such as a mobile food pantry and daily meal distributions.
