Police Department Box Removed; DPW Box Available Until October 1, 2026
South Hadley is phasing out public syringe collection boxes. The Police Department box has been removed. The Department of Public Works (DPW) box will remain available only until October 1, 2026. After that date, residents must use Tapestry Health’s free mobile syringe disposal service.
Free Pickup, Disposal & Containers via Tapestry Health
Tapestry Health’s Mobile Syringe Service Program provides free pickup, disposal, and sharps containers. Call or text 413-270-3277 to arrange a pickup. Drop-off is also available Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM at Tapestry clinics in Holyoke, Chicopee, Northampton, and Springfield.
