The Western Massachusetts Master Gardener Association (WMMGA) offers free soil pH testing on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Amherst Farmers Market (Amherst Common).
Sampling Instructions:
- Bring ½–1 cup of soil from 8–12 random spots (6–8 inches deep), mixed together
- For multiple garden areas, submit separate samples
- Testing limited to pH analysis (no nutrient or contaminant tests)
Master Gardeners will be available to answer gardening questions.
