Local author Ellen Meeropol will launch her sixth novel, Sometimes an Island, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Broadside Bookshop in Northampton. The novel weaves together voices and timelines, following a family’s flight from a burning shtetl to a remote island and their descendants’ later displacement by climate change. Sales from the event will benefit Climate Action Now.
