A public talk titled “The Axis and the Moon: Two Monumental Minarets from Medieval India” will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Mohit Manohar, Assistant Professor of South Asian Art and Architecture from the University of Chicago, will discuss the history of the Qutb (Axis) Minar in Delhi and the Chand (Moon) Minar in Daulatabad. The event will take place in Classroom 113, Fayerweather Hall, at 17 Fayerweather Drive. The talk is sponsored by the Georges Lurcy Lecture Series Fund and is free and open to the public.
