Talk on Children, Learning & Technology at Amherst College

A free public talk, “Beyond Human Sources: How Children Learn from Technology,” will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Kirkpatrick Lecture Hall (Room A011) at the Science Center. Researchers Carrie Palmquist (Amherst College) and Justin Ruiz (Boston University) will present collaborative research exploring children’s perceptions of technology, including AI, as a source of information about the world. The event is sponsored by AILA (Artificial Intelligence in the Liberal Arts), Psychology, and Education Studies.
