Poet Selma Asotić will read from her work, including her collection Say Fire (Archipelago Books, 2025), on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Amherst Books. She will be joined in discussion by Abigail Chabitnoy. Say Fire was the winner of the Stjepan Gulin Prize (2022) and the tefica Cvek Prize (2023). The poems explore memory and family history in the wake of the Bosnian War.
