A free public talk, “Chemical Engineering for the Common Good: Ideas for Turning ‘Unrecyclable’ Waste into Valuable Products,” will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at UMass Downtown, 108 North Pleasant Street, Amherst. Senior chemical engineering students will discuss innovative re/upcycling processes for multilayer plastic packaging (e.g., chip bags). The event is presented in partnership with the UMass Amherst Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
