The Fort River Watershed Association, Kestrel Land Trust, and Connecticut River Conservancy will host a Water Walk on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The approximately 3-mile walk will follow a headwater tributary of the Fort River in North Amherst and Shutesbury. The event is part of the global Walking Rivers initiative, celebrating river beauty and importance. Meeting location details will be provided upon registration. Free and open to all ages; comfortable walking shoes recommended.
