Izote Latin & American Kitchen, a women- and minority-owned business, will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at 460 West Street, Suite A, Amherst. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 3:00 PM with the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce. The event features complimentary tastings from the hot table, samples of café de olla and house coffee, and an opportunity to meet owner Ana Lourdes Artiga Paredes, an immigrant from El Salvador and accomplished restaurateur. Izote is open daily from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with all-day breakfast and hot table lunch from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
