18th Century Demonstrations & Reenactments

The Stone House Museum in Belchertown will host an 18th century living history event on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. The Green Valley Homestead Reenactment Group will bring the period to life with musket demonstrations, a master tinsmith crafting military items, and an herbalist apothecary discussing period healing remedies.

Hands-On Activities for Families

Visitors can participate in textile production including carding, spinning, and dyeing wool. Children will enjoy period games, visiting heritage breed farm animals (including sheep), and making copy books for school. The Stone House will offer guided tours featuring its special exhibit of American Revolutionary War artifacts.

Admission, Parking and Contact

Admission is $5 for adults; children under 18 are free. Parking is available at Center School, Beers and Story Funeral Home (if space permits), and the Belchertown Common. For more information, follow the museum on Facebook.
