Town Explores Charging Options for Renters & Residents Without Driveways
The Town of Amherst will host a virtual public presentation on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM via Zoom to discuss new on-street electric vehicle charging options. The town was selected as one of 21 municipalities to receive support from MassCEC’s On-Street Charging Solutions Program. The presentation will share results of a recent survey and feasibility study, followed by a Q&A.

The presentation will be facilitated by Leidos Engineering, with Director of Sustainability Stephanie Ciccarello and Town Engineer Jason Skeels present to answer questions. According to MassCEC, access to charging is a significant barrier for renters and residents without driveways.
