7-Mile Casual Ride with Scenic River Views & Ice Cream Stop
The South Hadley Bike/Walk Committee invites the community to a casual-paced spring bike ride on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The approximately 7-mile route includes some hills and travels along Hadley Street, Ferry Street, Alvord Street, and Upper River Road, with views of the Connecticut River. The ride is open to adults and teens; younger riders are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
Meeting Time, Optional Ice Cream & Extra Mile
Meet at 12:45 PM in the Village Commons lower parking lot (behind Village Commons, near the street). The ride departs promptly at 1:00 PM. A rest stop at McCray’s Farm Creamery offers optional homemade ice cream. An optional 1-mile loop on the River-to-Range Trail features a marsh wetland overlook and river spur.
What to Bring & Weather Updates
Bring a bike, helmet, and water bottle. Weather-related cancellations will be posted by 10:00 AM on the day of the ride on the town’s Bike/Walk Committee page.
