Solicitors Must Be Registered – Call 413-538-8231 (Press 0)
The South Hadley Police Department reminds residents that all commercial solicitors must have a valid certificate of registration issued by the Police Department. Soliciting is only permitted between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Violations can result in fines of up to $300 per offense.
What to Do When a Solicitor Arrives
If a solicitor is at your door, call dispatch immediately at 413-538-8231 (press 0). Officers can then verify whether the individual is properly registered and operating legally. The only major exemption is fundraising by children on behalf of local schools or youth organizations.
