Entry Level & Lateral Transfers – Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week
The UMass Amherst Police Department is accepting applications for police officer positions, both entry level and lateral transfers. Applications are due by July 18, 2026. The role involves full-spectrum law enforcement, investigation, and emergency services on campus and adjacent areas. Minimum qualifications include at least 21 years old, eligibility for Massachusetts police certification, and a clean criminal record. Entry level requires an associate’s degree (60 credits) or 4 years of military service or 1 year post-police academy experience. Lateral applicants must possess MPTC certification.
