South Hadley Senior Center Seeking Peer Technology Mentors

Volunteer to Help Fellow Older Adults Build Tech Confidence – Apply by June 26

The South Hadley Senior Center is launching a Peer Technology Mentor Program and seeking senior volunteers (age 50+) to provide one-on-one tech help and training classes to fellow members. The goal is to triple the program’s capacity to serve 200+ older adults annually. Volunteers will receive structured training from the Technology Instructor and AARP Senior Planet, starting in early July.

Flexible Commitment – 2 Hours/Week for 5 Weeks Training, Then ~1 Hour/Week

Mentors should be comfortable with everyday tech (smartphones, tablets, laptops), patient, and reliable. Training is on Zoom; after training, volunteers commit about one hour per week. Spanish-speaking volunteers and veterans are especially welcome. Volunteers receive access to a demo device library and 150+ ready-made courses.

Interested candidates should contact Technology Instructor Maria by June 26, 2026, at mariasouthhadley[at]gmail.com.
