About Bryan Harvey

Bryan Harvey has lived in Amherst for 52 years. He is helping lead the community group unearthing (figuratively) the remarkable history of water-based industry along the Mill River in North Amherst.

He has been instrumental in the formation of the Mill River History Trail, which will “include features such as foundations for mills and factories that once lined the Mill River and Cushman Brook in North Amherst, a former canal that fed water to a grist mill on Montague Road, and discarded clam shells associated with the long-vanished Cushman Clam Club.
