Amherst Dog License Renewal Deadline: May 31, 2025

All dogs 6 months or older must be licensed under state law (MGL Ch. 140 § 137).

• Deadline: Renew by May 31, 2025 to avoid a $30 late fee (applies June 1+).
• Requirements: Current rabies certificate + proof of spay/neuter (if applicable).

How to Renew:

1. Online: Fast & easy at AmherstMA.gov payments page.
2. In Person: Town Clerk’s Office (4 Boltwood Ave, Mon–Fri, 8 AM–4:30 PM).
3. By Mail: Send check, rabies proof, and SASE to:
   Town Clerk’s Office, 4 Boltwood Ave, Amherst, MA 01002.

First-time licensing? Must be done in person or by mail.
