The Hampshire Bird Club will host an online lecture by Rozy Bathrick, a UMass Amherst PhD candidate, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 7:00-8:00 PM. The talk will explore migratory diversity among Alaska-breeding shorebirds using four years of tracking data.
Bathrick will examine how different species use distinct flyways and stopover sites, highlighting their varying vulnerabilities. The event is free and open to the public via Zoom.

Rozy Bathrick is a PhD candidate in the Senner Lab at UMass Amherst’s Organismic and Evolutionary Biology program. Her research focuses on Alaskan shorebird migration, building on previous work with seabirds in California and field courses at UC Santa Cruz.
