About Buttery Brook Park:
Established in 1980 by Parks Superintendent Joseph Taylor, this beloved South Hadley park was built through community collaboration on land donated by Fire District No. 1 and the Kielbasa family. Once a 19th-century reservoir site, it now features:
- Scenic trails along the historic Buttery Brook watershed
- Picnic pavilions (built by the Lion’s Club)
- Playgrounds, spray park, and pickleball courts
