Albert Chasan z”l (1930–2024) was a marketing executive-turned-instinctive painter who channeled his parents’ oral histories into vibrant acrylic works. Born in NYC to Russian Jewish immigrants, he retired from his communications firm to visually preserve their childhood stories – from his father’s mischievous youth to his mother’s survival during pogroms. A resident of Woodland Pond Senior Living (NY), he founded its ArtScope collective, leaving a legacy of late-life creative community building. His works hang in New York and New Jersey collections.
