The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum will host a free lecture, “Remembering Henry Knox and the Noble Train of Artillery in Massachusetts,” on Sunday, September 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Corn Barn. Ben Haley, Director of the National Register of Historic Places program for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will present.
The talk will discuss Col. Henry Knox’s 1775–1776 expedition transporting artillery from Fort Ticonderoga to Cambridge and how 1920s Knox Trail markers shaped public memory of the event.
