The Town of Amherst is forming a Cable Television Advisory Committee (CTAC) to assist with the upcoming Comcast license renewal process. The committee will evaluate current services and gather community input to shape the future of cable television in Amherst.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review Comcast’s performance under the existing license
- Conduct public outreach (surveys, hearings, stakeholder meetings)
- Submit an Ascertainment Report by December 31, 2025
Committee Details:
- Members: 4 residents (appointed by the Town Manager) + IT Director
- Term: Concludes upon final report submission (by April 15, 2026)
- Qualifications: No expertise required—just a willingness to learn and engage
