The Belchertown Community Food Drive will take place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Belchertown Town Hall. The drive is co-hosted by State Representative Aaron Saunders, State Representative Mindy Domb, and State Senator Jake Oliveira, in partnership with the Light and Love Community Food Drive. Donations collected during the event will support the Amherst Survival Center and benefit Belchertown and 13 surrounding communities. The drive is held in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service and focuses on providing food and essential items for neighbors experiencing food insecurity this winter.
Requested donations include canned vegetables, beans and soups, pasta, rice and shelf-stable grains, peanut butter and other protein-rich foods, breakfast items such as oatmeal and cereal, and personal care and paper goods.
Residents who are able to donate are encouraged to drop off items during the event hours at Belchertown Town Hall.
