Informal Chat with Town Manager & DEI Director
The Town of Amherst invites the community to the monthly “Cuppa’ Joe with Paul” on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at West Street Coffee & Tea, 450 West Street, Amherst. Town Manager Paul Bockelman and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Pamela Nolan Young will be present for an informal conversation.

The DEI Department, established in 2022, focuses on fostering a safe and welcoming community through trainings, programming, and equitable access to services. This year, the department celebrates the second year of the Amherst Global Village Festival and the upcoming Amherst Pride Parade & Celebration (June 28). The department also supports the Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Community Safety & Social Justice Committee, Human Rights Commission, and Amherst Black Reparations Committee.
