The Sunderland Public Library is seeking public feedback on its Sensory Friendly Hours pilot program, which will run through April 30, 2026. The program offers adjusted lighting and a calmer environment to better serve neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities.
The library is evaluating whether to make these hours permanent based on community usage and feedback. The pilot is funded by a grant from the American Library Association and the Association for Rural & Small Libraries.
