Local author Timmon Wallis will discuss his new book, Nuclear Abolition: A Scenario, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Wallis argues that nuclear weapons pose an existential threat and that abolition is possible using existing frameworks. He is National Coordinator of the Warheads to Windmills Coalition and holds a PhD in Peace Studies. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. The event will be held at the Sunderland Public Library, 20 School Street.
