Free Book Talk at 5:00 PM + Concert at 6:30 PM
The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum in Hadley hosts a rare double-feature on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The evening begins at 5:00 PM with a free book talk in the Corn Barn featuring authors Tom Weiner and Dr. Amilcar Shabazz discussing their book In Defiance: 20 Abolitionists You Were Never Taught in School. At 6:30 PM, Rosemary Caine & the Wilde Irish Shenanigans will perform in the Sunken Garden as part of the Wednesday Folk Traditions Concert series. Tickets for the concert are $12 for adults, $2 for children; Card to Culture is accepted. Picnics are welcome beginning at 5:00 PM; PPH is a carry-in/carry-out site.
