“Fabric of a Revolution” Flag Talk at Clapp Library

Fiber Artist Holly Field on Recreating a 13-Star American Flag

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, fiber artist Holly Field will present a talk about her project “The Fabric of a Revolution: Recreating a 13 Star American Flag” at the Clapp Memorial Library, 19 South Main Street, Belchertown. She will discuss the process of creating a historically accurate 18th-century American flag, starting from raw sheep’s fleece and flax, then spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing. The talk runs 7:00-7:30 PM, followed by discussion with the artist until 8:00 PM. The flag will remain on display at the library through June.
