Free Admission & Tours for Neighboring Towns
The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum in Hadley announces Community Days 2026 with free admission and refreshments for residents of specific towns:
- Saturday, June 6: Amherst, Shutesbury, Leverett, Pelham, and Hadley
- Saturday, June 13: Northampton, Hatfield, Deerfield, and Whately
Exhibit on Enslaved, Indentured & Free People at Forty Acres
Free tours explore the network of enslaved, indentured, and free people who lived and worked at Forty Acres over five generations. Following the tours, guests can view the exhibit “Forty Acres & The American Revolution: Stories of Independence & Servitude” and enjoy complimentary refreshments on the back porch. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds. Trail systems are open year-round.
