Primary Source Documents Bring Amherst’s Revolution Story to Life
The Amherst History Center presents a new exhibit, “In Defense of Our Just Rights & Liberties: Amherst in the Revolution,” on view from June 2026 through May 2027 at 45 Boltwood Walk, Amherst. The exhibit uses primary source documents to explore how the Revolutionary War unfolded in Amherst, from the declaration of independence to the outbreak of war, told through the voices of residents who lived through it. The exhibit is made possible by a grant from the Amherst Cultural Council and Mass Cultural Council, as part of Massachusetts 250.
Hours – Thurs/Fri 1-4 PM, Sat 11 AM-3 PM
The exhibit is open Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
