Odyssey Bookshop will host an author talk with Olivia Aguilar on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Aguilar will discuss her new book, A Latine Outdoor Experience: Remembering, Resisting, and Reimagining, and will be joined in conversation by Lauret Savoy. The event is free and open to the public and takes place at Odyssey Bookshop in South Hadley. Attendees can expect a discussion focused on narratives of the Latine community and their relationships to outdoor and environmental spaces in the United States. The event may be of interest to readers, educators, students, and community members engaged in environmental studies, social justice, and literature.
Aguilar is Director of the Miller Worley Center for the Environment and a faculty member in Environmental Studies at Mount Holyoke College. Savoy is the David B. Truman Professor of Environmental Studies at Mount Holyoke College and the author of Trace: Memory, History, Race, and the American Landscape.
