The original play “One Family in Gaza” will be presented at Sunderland Public Library, 20 School Street, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. This nonfiction drama by Crystal Zevon is based on text messages with Yasser in Gaza and portrays one family’s experience during the war through real-time correspondence and related news reports. The performance is free, and donations will be accepted to support organizations working with Yasser’s family.
The event is produced by the Creative Peace & Justice Project with co-sponsors including the Sunderland Human Rights Task Force, Jewish Voice for Peace, Traprock Center for Peace and Justice, Sunderland Public Library, and other local partners.
