Paintings & Interactive Works Inspired by Finnish Boreal Forests – Opening Reception July 3
Gallery A3 (28 Amity Street, Amherst) presents “Patterns of the Forest,” a solo exhibition by Rachel Loeffler, running Thursday, July 2, through Saturday, August 1, 2026. The show features paintings and three-dimensional interactive works celebrating the beauty of Norway spruces, Scots pines, and silver birches, along with abstract patterns of light and shadow. The opening reception is Friday, July 3, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Interactive Forest Mosaic Sculptures & Community Coloring
The exhibit includes interactive three-dimensional works, kinetic landscape mosaic sculptures with rotatable squares, and an invitation for visitors to add their own color selections to forest mosaic patterns. Forest pattern kits will be available for purchase to continue the experience at home. An Art Forum Online lecture about the artist’s process will be held Thursday, July 16, at 7:30 PM.
