About Pari Riahi:
Pari Riahi is an artist, architect, and scholar currently serving as Associate Dean of Academic Operations and Infrastructure in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts at UMass Amherst, where she is also an Associate Professor of Architecture. With a background in architectural history and design, Riahi’s work explores the intersection of urbanism, public housing, and visual culture. Her research often incorporates photography, drawing, and collage, as seen in her current exhibit, “Architectures of Collectivity.”
Previously, Riahi taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and has published on topics ranging from Renaissance architectural treatises to contemporary urban housing. Her innovative approach to architecture and art has earned her recognition as a leading voice in the field.
