Straw Dog Writers Guild will host a virtual poetry book launch on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM on Zoom. Edward Doyle-Gillespie will read from The Slow Lament of Dying Ice, and Trisha Leigh Shufelt will read from Thundering in the Pink. The event will include a short conversation and audience Q&A. Doyle-Gillespie teaches English in Baltimore; Shufelt is also the author and artist behind the Poe Tarot.
