Straw Dog Writers Guild hosts Writers Night Out on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forbes Library, 20 West Street, Northampton. The evening features an open mic (sign up by 5:50 PM; ten names randomly selected, 5 minutes each) and a featured reading by Michael Parzymieso, author of the debut novel The Dale. Parzymieso is a Queset House Author in Residence for July and is touring throughout New England and New York this summer.
