24-Hour Water Use Restrictions for Invasive Plant Control
As part of a comprehensive lake management program, Lake Holland and Lake Arcadia will be treated with the aquatic herbicide Sonar (fluridone) on Thursday, May 14, 2026, to control non-native and invasive fanwort and milfoil. Following the treatment, the lakes will be closed to all water uses — including boating, fishing, and swimming — for a 24-hour period.
Signs Posted Prior to Application
Applicable water use restrictions will be posted with signs around the shoreline prior to the application. The public is asked to comply with all posted restrictions and thank you for cooperating in protecting the lakes.
