Due to forecasted weather, the Town of Amherst has declared a parking ban effective Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 10:00 PM. During the ban, parking is prohibited on all town streets and in all municipal lots except for three designated areas:
- The lower level of the parking garage.
- The town portion of the Pray Street Lot.
- The northern row of the town N Pleasant St Lot (row closest to the church only).
Vehicles parked in violation are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense.
The ban will remain in effect until further notice. An announcement will be made when it is lifted. Vehicles remaining in designated areas after the ban ends are responsible for parking fees.
