Southbound Traffic Detoured via Blue Hills Road to Northampton Road
During the week of July 6, 2026, Peckham Roads and Ludlow Construction will begin reconstruction of University Drive from the USPS to the Amity Street roundabout. University Drive will remain open but reduced to one lane northbound. All southbound traffic (coming from UMass) will be detoured at the Amity Street roundabout and redirected via Blue Hills Road to Northampton Road. Officers will direct traffic. Work is weather dependent.
Drive slowly in work zones and expect delays.
