All dogs 6 months or older must be licensed under state law (MGL Ch. 140 § 137).
- Deadline: Renew by May 31, 2025 to avoid a $30 late fee (applies June 1+).
- Requirements: Current rabies certificate + proof of spay/neuter (if applicable).

- Online: Fast & easy at AmherstMA.gov payments page.
- In Person: Town Clerk’s Office (4 Boltwood Ave, Mon–Fri, 8 AM–4:30 PM).
- By Mail: Send check, rabies proof, and SASE to:
