Kestrel Land Trust will host a Saw-whet Owl banding demonstration on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at its office (37 Bay Rd, Amherst). Naturalists Chris Volonte and Anthony Hill will explain the banding process and attempt to capture migrating owls using audio calls.
The event includes warm beverages and light snacks. Owl capture is not guaranteed due to the species’ unpredictable migration. The rain date is Saturday, November 22.
