The Secret Lives of Pollinators Walk at Bright Water Bog

Guided Walk with UMass Research Fellow Joan Milam

Join Kestrel Land Trust on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bright Water Bog in Shutesbury for “The Secret Lives of Pollinators.” UMass Amherst Research Fellow Joan Milam will lead a walk to observe and discuss bees, butterflies, moths, wasps, beetles, and other pollinators. Topics include bee diversity (400 species in Massachusetts), habitat preferences, natural and human stressors impacting bee health, and the critical role pollinators play in ecosystems and agriculture.

Registration Required – Sliding-Scale Donation Optional

Registration is required. A sliding-scale donation is optional. The walk will take place at Bright Water Bog, 727 Wendell Road, Shutesbury.
